YuJa Verity ensures exam integrity with test proctoring software that enables automated and live online proctoring integrated directly within all major learning management systems, including Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and D2L Brightspace. An overview of the proctoring features available on the Verity platform is shown as follows.
Proctoring Methods
To ensure a secure online testing environment, you can create a Verity-proctored assessment in your LMS including Blackboard, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, and Moodle. For each proctored assessment, you can select a preferred proctoring method based on your assessment needs.
- Automated Proctoring: Access standard proctoring features requiring the Verity Browser Extension
- Live Proctoring: Create a live environment to monitor assessments in real time with human proctors.
- Live Check-in Proctoring: Create a testing environment to notify human proctors of potential misconduct. Proctors can then remotely enter a test-taker's environment to address the issue.
Proctoring Platforms
For each proctored assessment, you can select a proctoring platform, including a browser extension and the Verity Lockdown App.
- Browser Extension: Access standard proctoring features through a web browser extension.
- Desktop Lockdown App: Access advanced proctoring features requiring the Lockdown App for Windows and Mac.
- Mobile Lockdown App: Access core proctoring features using the Verity Mobile App for iOS and Android devices.
Specialized Proctored Assessments
In addition to the LMS-based proctored assessments, you can create specialized proctored assessments, including Practice, Third-Party, and Standalone assessments, when required.
- Practice Assessment: Create a practice assessment in Canvas and D2L Brightspace to help individuals familiarize themselves with Verity.
- Third-Party Assessment: Enable a proctored environment for assessments created using third-party tools such as Pearson.
- Standalone Assessment: Create a proctored environment for individuals not enrolled in your institution's LMS.
