The Panorama Digital Accessibility Platform provides institutions with the unique ability to correct the accessibility of their digital content and provide alternative formats for users with learning disabilities. Panorama integrates seamlessly with all major Learning Management Systems (LMS), including Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and D2L Brightspace.
Accessing Advanced Panorama Reporting and Configurations
Advanced Panorama reporting is available to admins and instructors through the Panorama LTI link. Instructors and admins can use the reports to identify trends in Panorama issues and usage. Admins can also access Panorama's advanced configurations to customize the behavior of the LMS. Below is an overview of the features available.
- My Content: A personalized repository for admins, instructors, and students to efficiently organize and store their files.

Reports: Panorama offers various reports to help monitor the accessibility of the LMS and individual courses.
- LMS Report: Admins can access the overall accessibility of their LMS, which includes the most and least accessible courses.
- Issues Report: Admins can access a list of the most common issues in their LMS.
- Content Report: Admins can access the file types uploaded and Alternative Formats downloaded for their institution.
- Storage Report: Admins can access the storage used by their institution.
- Website Report: Admins can access the use of Website Accessibility by their institution.
- Course Report: Admins and instructors can view the accessibility scores for courses and documents, and view a list of popular downloads.
- Website Accessibility: Manage the domains for which Website Accessibility has been enabled.

Configuration: Admins can adjust how Panorama is enabled across the LMS.
- General Settings: Configure LTI role-mapping and adjust which Panorama features to enable within your LMS or on a per-course basis.

- Roster Management: Manage user roles in Panorama by adjusting permissions for users synched through the LMS or adding new users outside the LMS to access your Panorama Platform.

- Institution Information: View information related to your institution, such as your Panorama Platform URL, institution ID, LMS type, etc.

- Scans: Track the progress of Panorama’s course scans and view a list of all courses within the LMS. Courses can also be re-scanned to locate new documents or pages within the course.
Accessibility Score Icons
Panorama will generate Accessibility Scores for DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, PDF, HTML, GIF, XLS, XLSX, ODT, ODP, ODS, RTF file types, and editable HTML pages.
- Accessibility Score icons are located next to each file type or along the top of HTML content and provide a quick at-a-glance summary of the Accessibility Score based on their color.
- The blue circle is for student view.
- The green hexagon is for accessibility scores greater than 70%.
- The yellow triangle is for accessibility scores between 30% and 70%.
- The red octagon is for accessibility scores less than or equal to 30%.
- The grey prohibition sign is for documents with disabled alternative formats.
Using the Accessibility Report for LMS Documents
Accessibility Reports offer a comprehensive list of accessibility issues detected within files and provide actionable options to address and resolve issues for content within the LMS. They can be accessed by selecting the Accessibility Score icon next to each document file.
- The Accessibility Report offers various ways in which to resolve accessibility issues that have been identified under the Reviewed Issues list. Below is an overview of each method.
- AutoPilot: Automatically proposes fixes for accessibility issues, which can be applied to your document immediately using the Panorama Remediation Engine.
- Fix Issue (Panorama's Remediation Engine): Manually add fixes for accessibility issues within the report, and then apply those changes to your document.
- How To Fix: Provides manual steps for updating the original document. Institution admins can adjust these steps.
- Replace with Alternative Format: Replace the original document with an Alternative Format generated by Panorama.
Alternative Formats

- Source File: View the document in its original format, suitable for download viewing.
- PDF: View the document in PDF format, suitable for both online and download viewing.
- Text File: View the document in a pure text format without any formatting styles, suitable for both online and download viewing.
- Immersive Reader: Allows for customizations to text preferences, grammar options, and reading preferences while following along with the audio playback.
- Gradient Reader: Enhances visual word recognition when reading by providing a guiding color gradient.
- EPUB: View the document in the ebook format, suitable for any ebook reader application.
- Braille: View the document in the braille grade 2 format, suitable for download viewing (a braille reader is required).
- Audio Podcast: Audio playback for documents, suitable for both online and download listening.
- Enhanced HTML: HTML documents will be displayed in a dedicated tab to customize the document's appearance using the Website Accessibility tool.

OCR: Convert images with text into machine-encoded text that can be searched and read by screen readers.
- OCR Overlaid Tagged PDF: Generate a tagged PDF that allows for selectable text overlaid on the original scanned document or image.
- OCR Reconstructed DOCX: Generate a new DOCX file from scanned documents or images.

- OCR Reconstructed HTML: Generate a new HTML file from scanned documents or images.
- OCR Text: Recommended for those who prefer plain text, the OCR tool extracts and displays text within images and GIFs as a TXT file.

- OCR Audio: Extract text within images and GIFs into an MP3 text-to-speech audio player.

Website Accessibility Widget
The Website Accessibility Widget can adjust the content and color of web pages to suit various accessibility needs. Web developers can integrate Website Accessibility directly into their website, or users can enable Website Accessibility through the Panorama Browser Extension. - Color Adjustments: Create an accessible viewing experience by adjusting contrast and saturation, highlighting specific elements, changing text colors, and more.
- Content Adjustments: Alter the content on a web page by adjusting the line height, letter spacing, applying readable fonts, and more to create an accessible viewing experience.
- Profiles: Select a predefined set of accessibility improvements, such as the ADHD profile, which removes visual clutter and provides a reading mask, or the Seizure & Epileptic profile, which eliminates blinking, flashing, or flickering visuals.
- Preferences: Provides the option to temporarily or permanently hide the Website Accessibility icon.
- Formats: Provides a list of all documents found on the web page. You may then access Alternative Formats for these documents and add them to your My Content page.
Accessibility Design Tool
The Accessibility Design Tool is part of our vision to provide a more modern and capable WYSIWYG design interface to ensure that more accessible content is created right from the start within editable HTML areas in your LMS. Below is an overview of each feature offered by the Design Tool.
- Edits: This is where you can customize your inserted structures, elements, navigations, lists, and embedded content.
- Insert: Select items to add to your editable HTML area to begin creating accessible content.
- Templates: Save and reuse designs created with the Accessibility Design Tool in other areas of your LMS.
- Themes: Provides the option to save an item's color, spacing, and sizing to create its personalized style. Items can then be grouped into a Theme that can be saved and used when creating new designs.
