YuJa Verity protects the integrity of online assessments by providing human-controlled live-proctoring sessions in conjunction with other remote proctoring settings. Instructors can enable the feature by creating a Verity-enabled assessment within their Learning Management System (LMS)—Blackboard SaaS, Blackboard Learn Ultra, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, or Moodle—and then following the steps below.
Scheduling a Live Session
You can schedule a live session when creating a Verity-enabled assessment within your LMS. This involves creating sessions and assigning proctors so that students can register for the live assessment.
- Log in to your LMS and navigate to your desired course.
- Create an assessment in your LMS. Learn more about how to create a Verity proctored assessment in Blackboard Saas, Blackboard Learn Ultra, Canvas, Moodle, and D2L Brightspace.
- Under Quiz Restrictions, check YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Platform. Verity will automatically create an access code for students to access the quiz.
- Click Configure Settings to access proctor settings for Verity.
- Enter the assessment details and click Next.
- Select Live Proctoring as your Proctoring Method and Click Next.
- Click Add New Session to create a live proctoring session. Then enter the session name and select the date and time for the live session.
- Select Individual Proctor or Proctoring Group for the session.
- (Optional) Under Additional Settings, enter the date and time of the registration window for test-takers.
Note: The Registration window indicates how long your session will remain open for test-takers to register. Once the registration window is set, test-takers can only register for or switch to a live session within the selected period. - (Optional) Under Proctoring Guidelines, enter proctoring guidelines, such as specific proctoring procedures or special accommodations for live proctors to review before they join the session.

Reviewing and Editing Live Session
- Log in to your LMS and navigate to your desired course.
- Click the YuJa Verity LTI link. If you cannot locate the Verity LTI link, please contact your admin.
- Under Proctored Tools, select Live Proctoring > Live Sessions.
- Scroll to the Upcoming Sessions panel. From here, you can:
- View: View the details for the sessions, including students who have registered.
- Edit: Edit sessions or create new sessions and assign proctors.
- Delete: Permanently delete the session.
- Proctors can then join the session 15 minutes prior to the start of the assessment.
