Once the institution admin has integrated the Video Platform with Blackboard Ultra, instructors can add the platform to their courses and upload videos and quizzes for analytical tracking and gradebook sync.
Adding the Video Platform to a Blackboard Ultra Course
- Log in to Blackboard Ultra as an instructor and navigate to your desired course.
- Select Books & Tools under Details & Actions.
- Click the Plus icon for the Video Platform tool from the list of available tools. Note: The name of the tool may vary depending on your institution.
- Once the Video Platform is added as a tool, it will be accessible on the Content page. Optional: If you would like students to access the platform, click on the drop-down menu under the tool and select Visible to students.
Embedding a Video Using the Deep Linking Placement
Videos and quizzes posted to Blackboard using the Blackboard CIM workflow will be able to track analytics and sync grade results between the Video Platform's gradebook and Blackboard.
- Log in to Blackboard as an Instructor of any course.
- Select the Content tab.
- Under Details and Actions, select Books & Tools.
- Select the Media Chooser. Note: the name may vary depending on your institution.
- Select one of the following tabs:
- Select your desired media, quiz, or playlist, then click Insert. As students view content, analytics will be tracked on the Video Platform, and quiz grades will be synced to the Blackboard gradebook.
