Creating and Sharing Playlists in Lumina

Creating a playlist allows you to display videos and images in a specific order for viewing when shared through a direct link or embed code. Learn how to activate, create, and share playlists using the steps below.

Before You Start

If you do not see the Playlists in the sidebar, activate the playlist first by creating a new playlist folder.

Creating a Playlist

Once the Playlist feature is activated, you can create a playlist that will contain your videos or images. 

  1. Log in to Lumina.
  2. Click Manage Media.
  3. In the sidebar, select My Playlists, located under your Personal channels.
    Note: If you do not see the My Playlists option, click New Playlist to add the Playlist channel to your list of Personal channels.
  4. Click Create > New Playlist.
  5. Enter a name for the playlist, then click Save.
  6. (Optional) To view your created playlist, select My Playlists from the sidebar.

Adding Media Content to a Playlist

You can easily add videos or images to your playlists and adjust their reading order according to your viewing preference.

  1. Log in to Lumina.
  2. Click Manage Media.
  3. Navigate to the media you want.
  4. Click and drag the media to add it to the playlist.
  5. To add multiple videos to a playlist, hold down Ctrl on your keyboard and select your media. Selected media will be highlighted.
  6. Click More Actions > Bulk Add To Playlist.
  7. Select the playlist you want to add your selected media content to, then click Save.
  8. (Optional) To rearrange content order, go to your playlist folder, then click and drag your media content.

Sharing Your Playlists 

You can share the playlists with external users through direct links or embed codes. 

  1. Log in to Lumina.
  2. In the sidebar, click My Playlists.
  3. Select the playlist you want by holding down Ctrl.
  4. Click More Actions > Get Link.
  5. To share your playlist through a link, click the Copy button on the Direct Link field.
  6. To share your playlist through embed code, click the Copy button on the Embed Code field.
  7. Alternatively, click the kebab menu on the playlist, then click More ...
  8. Click Links, then refer back to step 5 and 6.
