Playlists allow Content Creators to present videos and images in an ordered list for viewing when shared through a direct link or embed code. All Content Creators have access to the Playlist feature; however, user accounts created before the introduction of the Playlist feature will need to activate the feature. To learn how to activate, create, and share playlists, please follow the steps below.
Activating the Playlists Feature
If you do not see the Playlists feature under your list of Personal channels (My Media, Shared With Me, Favorites, and Shared With Others), you will be required to activate the feature.
- Log in to the Video Platform and access your Media Library by selecting Manage Media from the top bar.
- Click NEW PLAYLIST to add the Playlist channel to your list of Personal channels.
Creating a Playlist
Once the Playlist feature is activated, you can create a playlist that will contain your videos or images.
- Log in to the Video Platform and access your Media Library by selecting Manage Media from the top bar.
- Click Playlists, located on the left side under your Personal channels.
- Click NEW PLAYLIST.
- Enter a name for the playlist and click Save.
- To view your playlist, click Playlists, located on the left side under your Personal channels.
Adding Media Content to a Playlist
Playlists can include videos and images located on the Video Platform and can be rearranged for your preferred viewing experience.
- Log in to the Video Platform and navigate to your desired content.
- While holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard (Command key on Mac), click on the content. Alternatively, you can click and drag over the videos or images you wish to add.
- Next, click More Actions.
- Select ADD TO PLAYLIST or BULK ADD TO PLAYLIST.
- Next, select the Playlist you wish to add content to and click Save.
- If you wish to rearrange content for viewing, navigate to your playlist folder and click and drag your media content to adjust the viewing order.
Sharing Your Playlists
Playlists can be shared through direct links or embed codes. The steps below will guide you on how to access the direct link and embed code for your playlist.
- Log in to the Video Platform.
- Click Playlists, located on the left side under your Personal channels.
- If you're not already in Grid Mode, click GRID MODE, located in the top bar.
- Hover over the desired playlist folder. Click the Gear icon and select More.
- Click the Links tab.
- If you wish to add security options, click Security Settings.
- Next, click the Copy button for Direct Link or Embed Code and then paste them into your desired location for individuals to view your playlist.
