You can create video quizzes for any uploaded video in Lumina. Once a quiz closes, you can view quiz responses in the Grade Book. You can also create playback quizzes that award points based on the percentage of the video watched. Video quizzes can be edited, shared, or deleted at any time.
Creating a Video Quiz
- Log in to Lumina.
- Click Manage Media.
- Go to the video you want.
Note: You cannot create a quiz for other media types such as images, audio, or documents. - Hover over it and select More….
- Select Quizzes.
- Click + Create Video Quiz.
- Enter a quiz name for your video quiz.
- Click the Play button to play the video.
- Go to the video timestamp where you want to add a quiz question and then pause the video.
- Click Add Question to insert a question at the selected timestamp.
- Select a question type for your quiz question:
- Multiple Choice
- Select Multiple
- Short Answer
- True or False
- Reflective Pause
- Decision Point

Fill-in-the-Blanks
- Enter the number of Points and Question.
Note: Learn more about Using LaTex to Create Mathematic Questions. - Enter the answer options according to your question type: Multiple Choice, Select Multiple, Short Answer, True or False, Reflective Pause, Decision Point, and Fill-in-the-Blanks.
- Click Add.
- Click Settings to customize the video quiz settings, and then click Save.
- Click Save to save it as a Lumina video quiz draft.
- (Optional) Click Post and select your course to publish the video quiz to your course.
