Engage allows you to create polls with graded and ungraded questions that can be released to participants.
Creating a Poll
- Log in to Engage as a creator.
- In the side navbar, select Activities.
- Click Create Poll.
- Select Graded Poll or Ungraded Poll.
- Select the Question Type you want to use.
- Multiple Choice: Ask a question with multiple options to choose from.
- Short Answer: Ask a question requiring a written response.
- True or False: Provide a statement that is either true or false.
- Fill in the Blank: Provide a statement with blanks to fill in.
- Clickable Image: Upload an image with clickable options as answers.
- Word Cloud: Visualize responses as a dynamic word cloud.
- Matching: Ask participants to match items together.
- Ranking: Provide options that can be ranked in order of preference.
- Open Discussion: Ask a question to allow ideas to be shared.
- Icebreaker: Create fun questions to start group activities.
- Retrospective: Share a prompt that encourages reflective responses.
- Brainstorm: Write a prompt to get everyone thinking of ideas.
- Enter the question in the text field.

- In the Points drop-down field, select the number of Points for the question.

In the Timer drop-down field, select the length of Time the participant has to answer the question.
- (Optional) Click Choose Media to add an image.
- To add more questions to your poll, click + Add Question and repeat steps 6-10.
- (Optional) Create a Question Bank to store questions for future use.
