Why does my camera icon have a slash through it?
You may need to turn on your webcam, use your computer's function keys to activate it, or unblock your camera's cover.
Possible causes:
- Camera permissions have been denied in your browser.
- Camera permissions have been denied in your operating system.
- Another application (Zoom, Teams, FaceTime, etc.) is currently using the camera.
- The camera is disconnected or disabled.
Recommended actions:
- Close other applications using the camera.
- Verify browser camera permissions.
- Verify operating system camera permissions.
- Restart your browser or computer if necessary.
My assistive technology is being flagged. What should I do?
Contact your course instructor or proctor to let them know about your accommodations. They will ensure your assistive technology is permitted in Verity and make sure you have an accommodation profile set up for next time.
How can I use my phone as a secondary camera?
