Course Approval
Once the integration between Panorama and Moodle is complete, users with an admin role in Moolde can approve courses for Panorama to scan. This can be done per course or for all courses in Moodle.
- Launch the Panorama Platform from Moodle.
- Click on Configuration and then select Scope Settings
- You can enable Panorama for courses by selecting one of the following options:
- All Active Courses: A Moodle course is considered active when students or instructors visit it or if all the following conditions are met: the course has been created in the last year, has a start date in the last year, and has an end date that is not in the past.
- Selected Moodle Categories Only: Courses within selected Moodle categories will have Panorama enabled.
- Selected Courses Only: Add the desired courses for which Panorama will be enabled.
- Click Save Changes.
Issue Settings
Each institution has its own interpretation of how document accessibility should be handled. For this reason, Moodle admins can customize several settings to determine how accessibility scores are calculated.
- Launch the Panorama Platform from Moodle.
- Click on Configuration and then select Issue Settings. You can select the following tabs to adjust settings for how Panorama calculates accessibility scores.
- Scoring Rubric: The scoring rubric determines the accessibility scores of documents based on a specific set of criteria. You can select from one of six different rubrics to apply across your institution.
- Severity Weight: Each severity level (Minor, Major, and Severe) can be customized to influence the overall accessibility score of the document.
- Severity Level: Each document can have its severity levels (Minor, Major, and Severe) adjusted for accessibility issues.
- Severity Threshold: select the smallest font size that Panorama will not flag as an accessibility issue.
Panorama Reports
Advanced Panorama reporting is available to admins through the Panorama Platform. Admins can use the reports to identify trends in Panorama issues and usage.
- Panorama offers various reports to help monitor the accessibility of the LMS and individual courses.
- LMS Report: Access the overall accessibility of their LMS, which includes the most and least accessible courses.
- Issues Report: Access a list of the most common issues in their LMS.
- Content Report: Access the file types uploaded and Alternative Formats downloaded for their institution.
- Storage Report: Access the storage used by their institution.
- Website Report: View how their institution uses Website Accessibility.
- Course Report: View the accessibility scores for courses and documents and a list of popular downloads.
