If you have to take an assessment with the Verity Lockdown desktop app and have not yet downloaded it, here's how to navigate the entire workflow for downloading and using Verity Lockdown.
Taking a Proctored Assessment with the Verity Lockdown App
Important: If you're using a Chromebook, please ensure you're on a managed guest session set up by your institution. For more assistance, please refer to this guide. If your Chromebook does not have a managed guest session, you will need to use a Windows or Mac device.

Log in to your LMS and navigate to your Verity LTI link. Locate the assessment you need to take on your Assessment Hub, then click Start.

If you've already installed the app, click Launch Lockdown App. If you haven't installed it yet, click Download Lockdown App to begin the installation process.

Search for Verity Lockdown Setup in your computer's apps and locate the setup file. Click on the Verity Lockdown Setup file to complete the installation.

Return to your LMS and click Launch Lockdown App to open Verity Lockdown.

When the dialogue box opens, click Open Verity Lockdown. This will launch the Verity Lockdown app.

Within the Verity Lockdown app, use the address bar to navigate to the course in your LMS where you want to access your assessment by pasting its link address.

Navigate to your assessment and click Take the Quiz (or a similar button, depending on your LMS) to begin your assessment.
