Creating a New Recording with Software Capture for Apple

1. Launch Software Capture and add a title to your recording. 
2. Software Capture provides adjustments to the following settings in the left-side menu: 
   • Video: Select your preferred video source(s) and adjust your resolution and frame rate.
   • Audio: Select your preferred audio source(s).
   • Screen: Select your preferred display source(s). 
   • Live: Enable live recording to stream and save content on the Video Platform.
   • Profile: Select your preferred recording profile. 
   
3. You can then select the My Media Collections icon to select a personal location in your Video Platform library to save the recording.
   
4. You can also select a channel on the Video Platform to publish your recording by selecting the Media Channel icon. Note: A live stream must be published to a channel. 
   
5. Once satisfied with your recording setup, click the Start button to begin your capture.
   
6. To end your recording, click the Finish button on Software Capture or the Recording Toolbar or by pressing Shift+command+F, the default hotkey sequence. The hotkey can be changed if desired.
   
7. Once your recording has ended and you are satisfied with it, click Save to publish the recording into your My Media Library. Optional: If you selected a channel to publish your recording, select Publish. This will automatically save your recording both to the selected channel and your My Media Library.
   

When you press the Start button, you’ll have three seconds before recording begins. Use this time to bring up your files or presentation material on-screen, if you’re capturing your screen. Proceed with your recording—try to speak clearly and naturally!
