Uploading YouTube Videos

Content creators can upload their YouTube videos to the Video Platform by linking the video.

Uploading YouTube Videos

To upload a YouTube video to the Video Platform, you will need a direct link to the YouTube video.

    1. Click Manage Media to navigate to your My Media page.
    2. Click the Upload button.
      The Manage Media button is highlighted within the Video Platform.
    3. From the list of options, select the Link tab. Then, from the drop-down menu, click on YouTube.
      The Add Media window is shown and features YouTube highlighted from the Links tab.
    4. Paste the direct link of your YouTube video into the YouTube Link field.
    5. You will be asked to confirm that certain YuJa capabilities will not be available for your YouTube video. Click Yes to confirm.
      A direct YouTube link is entered in the Add Media modal.
    6. Next, fill out the Title and Description of the video. 
      • Optional: You have access to the optional features below.
        • Add Tags: You can add tags to your video to help with certain search functionalities when using the Advanced Search Console.
        • Publish: Publish the video to a course channel on the Video Platform. 
    7. Once done, click on Start Upload.
      A title and description for the video are shown entered.
Note: Currently, our Video Editor only supports Video and Audio file uploads.
