Engage automatically grades most questions in your poll, except for short answers, word clouds, open discussions, icebreakers, retrospectives, and brainstorms. As a poll creator, you can manually grade these responses, or adjust any grades as needed.
Grading Polls
- Log in to Engage as a creator.
- In the side navbar, click Grade Book > Poll.
- Select the Poll you want.
- Click Get Results.
- Locate the participant that you want to grade. Click the Actions button > Grade.
- Click each question to review the participant's response. Some responses may already be marked as Correct or Incorrect.
- To adjust an existing grade or assign a new one, select Correct or Incorrect according to the response.
Note: Click the arrow navigation to grade the next or previous participant. - Repeat steps 6 and 7 for all other participants and questions.
- Click Save. The new score will be updated.
The grades will sync automatically to your LMS grade book if the poll was embedded in an LMS course previously. Learn more about embedding a poll in Blackboard, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, and Moodle. Alternatively, you can export the grades as a CSV file and manually upload them to the LMS grade book for syncing.
