Enabling Incognito Mode for the Verity Browser Extension

When taking a proctored assessment, you may be required to enable incognito mode for the Verity browser extension.

Enabling Chrome Incognito Mode for the Verity Browser Extension

Before enabling Chrome incognito mode, make sure you have downloaded the Verity browser extension.

1. Right-click on the Verity logo and select Manage extension.
   Note: If you do not see the Verity button, click the Extension button and locate the Verity browser extension. Then click the More options button > Manage extension.
   
2. Toggle to enable Allow in Incognito. Once enabled, you can start your Verity proctored assessments. 
   

Enabling Microsoft Edge InPrivate Mode for the Verity Browser Extension

Before enabling InPrivate mode, make sure you have downloaded the Verity browser extension.

1. Right-click on the Verity button and select Manage extension.
   Note: If you do not see the Verity button, click the Extension button and locate the Verity browser extension. Then click the More actions button > Manage extension.
   
2. Select the Allow in InPrivate checkbox. Once enabled, you can start your Verity proctored assessments. 
   

Enabling Brave Private Mode for the Verity Browser Extension

Before enabling Private mode, make sure you have downloaded the Verity browser extension.

1. Click the Extensions button.
   
2. Locate the YuJa Verity Chrome Extension.
   
3. Click the More options button > Manage extension.
   
4. Toggle to enable Allow in Private. Once enabled, you can start your Verity proctored assessments.
   

Enabling Opera Incognito Mode for the Verity Browser Extension

Before enabling incognito mode, make sure you have downloaded the Verity browser extension.

1. Click the Extensions button.
   
2. Locate the YuJa Verity Chrome Extension.
   
3. Click the more options button > Manage extension.
   
4. Toggle to enable Allow in Incognito. Once enabled, you can start your Verity proctored assessments. 
   

Enabling Firefox Private Windows for the Verity Browser Extension

Before enabling private mode, make sure you have downloaded the Verity browser extension.

1. Click the Extensions button in the top right corner.



2. Locate the YuJa Verity browser extension and click on the Settings icon.



3. Click Manage Extension.



4. Under the Run in Private Windows setting, click Allow. Once enabled, you can start your Verity proctored assessments.



 

Enabling Safari Private Browsing for the Verity Browser Extension

Before enabling private mode, make sure you have downloaded the Verity browser extension.

1. Click Safari > Safari Extensions… in the top left corner to open the Extensions menu.

   

2. In the Extensions menu, locate the YuJa Verity browser extension.

   

3. Check the Allow in Private Browsing box. This will open a dialogue box prompting you to enter your password.

   

4. When prompted, click Use Password…

   

5. Enter your password and click OK to allow Safari to enable the extension in Private Browsing. Once enabled, you can start your Verity proctored assessments.
