After creating a poll, you can add your poll to a Canvas assignment. As students complete their polls, the grades will be synced to the Canvas gradebook.
Adding Your Poll as a Canvas Assignment
Once a poll has been released to a course, it can be added as an assignment for students to access in Canvas.
- Log in to Canvas as an admin and select your course.
- In the side navbar, select Assignments >+ Assignment.
- Enter an Assignment Name for your assignment.
- In the Points field, enter the maximum number of points for the assignment.
- In the Submission Type drop-down menu, select External Tool.
- Click Find.
- Select the YuJa Engage tool, and click the Select button.
Note: If you cannot select your poll from the external tool, contact your administrator to ensure the developer key for Engage has been updated. - In the Activity Chooser window, locate your desired poll and click the + button.
- Click Select.
- Click Save & Publish.
- Release the poll to allow students to respond.
