Integrating Software Capture into PowerPoint

You can integrate Software Capture into the ribbon in PowerPoint. You can use the Software Capture add-in to make Software Capture recordings of your PowerPoint presentation and upload them directly to Lumina. 

Before You Start

Adding Software Capture to PowerPoint

You can integrate Software Capture into PowerPoint and access it from the ribbon.

  1. Open Software Capture.
  2. Click the Gear button.
  3. Select Add-on, and then click Download Add-on.
  4. Click Save Changes.
     

Using Software Capture in PowerPoint

You can use Software Capture in PowerPoint to record PowerPoint presentations.

  1. Open PowerPoint.

  2. In the ribbon, selectYuJa Software Capture.

     

  3. (Optional) If you do not have a Software Capture session running, click Sign in to log in.

     

  4. In the Recording Settings in Software Capture, select your recording Profile.
  5. Enter a Title for your recording in Software Capture.
  6. (Optional) Select the Start recording when the presentation begins checkbox.
    • To begin your presentation, select the Slide Show tab > From beginning or From Current Slide. A countdown will appear before your recording begins.

  7. (Optional) Select the End recording when the presentation ends checkbox. 
    • Close your presentation to end your recording session.  
  8. Click Save or Publish to have your recording uploaded to Lumina. 

Troubleshooting the Software Capture Add-On

If you're experiencing trouble with the Software Capture add-in, uninstall Software Capture from your computer and redownload it.

  1. Open PowerPoint.
  2. Click File > Options.

  3. Select the Add-ins tab.
  4. In the Manage drop-down menu, select COM Add-ins and then click Go....

  5. In the Add-ins available list, select YuJa Software Capture for PC - PowerPoint Add-On.
  6. Click Remove and then click OK.

  7. Open Add or remove programs on your computer.

  8. Locate YuJa Software Capture for PC - PowerPoint Add-On and click the More options button > Uninstall.

  9. Reinstall YuJa Software Capture, and then repeat the Adding Software Capture to PowerPoint section.
