Integrating YuJa Software Capture into PowerPoint

You can integrate YuJa Software Capture into PowerPoint and use the YuJa Software Capture add-in to make recordings of your PowerPoint presentations and upload them directly to YuJa Lumina. 

Before You Start

Adding YuJa Software Capture to PowerPoint

You can integrate YuJa Software Capture into PowerPoint by following these steps.

  1. Locate YuJa Software Capture on your device and open it.

  2. Click the Gear button.

  3. Select Advanced, and then under Recording Toolbar for PowerPoint, click Download.

  4. Once the toolbar is downloaded, click Save Changes.

Using YuJa Software Capture in PowerPoint

You can use YuJa Software Capture in PowerPoint to record PowerPoint presentations.

  1. Locate PowerPoint on your device and open it.

  2. In the ribbon, select Add-ins.

  3. In the Add-ins menu, click Advanced...

  4. In the Office Add-ins pop-up modal, select YuJa Lumina Software Capture for PowerPoint and click Add.

  5. If you do not have a YuJa Software Capture session running, select the YuJa tab on the ribbon and click Sign in to log in.

  6. Customize general settings and recording settings from the Lumina PowerPoint Add-in menu that appears on the right side:
    • Give the recording a Video Title.
    • Choose a Recording Profile from the drop-down menu. The recording profiles will be ones that you created in YuJa Software Capture.
    • Choose whether to toggle on Auto-Start on Play, which will begin the recording when the slideshow starts playing.

    • Choose whether to toggle on Auto-Finish on Play, which will end the recording when the slideshow finishes playing.

  7. (Optional) To begin your presentation, select the Slide Show tab > From beginning or From Current Slide.

  8. When you're finished recording, click Publish or Save to upload your recording to YuJa Lumina.

Troubleshooting the YuJa Software Capture add-on

If you're experiencing trouble with the YuJa Software Capture add-in, uninstall YuJa Software Capture from your computer and redownload it.

  1. Open PowerPoint.
  2. Click File > Options.

  3. Select the Add-ins tab.
  4. In the Manage drop-down menu, select COM Add-ins and then click Go....

  5. In the Add-ins available list, select YuJa Software Capture for PC - PowerPoint Add-On.
  6. Click Remove and then click OK.

  7. Open Add or remove programs on your computer.

  8. Locate YuJa Software Capture for PC - PowerPoint Add-On and click the More options button > Uninstall.

  9. Reinstall YuJa Software Capture, and then repeat the Adding YuJa Software Capture to PowerPoint section.
