This document provides instructions on integrating the Panorama Platform into your D2L Learning Management System (LMS). If you have any questions regarding any steps in this process, please contact your dedicated Customer Success Manager.
Registering a D2L Application for Panorama
The YuJa Panorama - LMS Connector requires an Application to be registered in order to access the API provided by D2L. To register an Application, follow the instructions below.
- Log in as an Admin.
- From the top-right corner, click the Gear icon.
- Under Security, select Roles and Permissions.
- In the Role List, click Administrator.
- In the Filter by Tool drop-down menu, select Content, and click Apply Filter.
- In the top row, check Organization, Course Template, Course Offering, Group, Semester, Section, and Department.
- Click Save.
- Repeat steps 5-7 by entering Course Builder, Course Management Console, and External Learning Tools in Filter by Tool.
- Next, click the Gear icon in the top-right corner.
- Under Organization Related, click Manage Extensibility.
- Ensure the ID Key Authentication tab is selected, and click Register an App.
- Enter a name for Application Name, such as Panorama.
- For Trusted URL, copy and paste the correct URL based on your zone.

- EU Zone: https://panorama-api-ez.yuja.com/d2l-auth
- Check Enable this application, and I accept the Non-commercial Developer Agreement.
- Click Register Application.
- After registering the Panorama application, you will be redirected to the newly created application. Send the Application ID and Application Key to your Customer Success Manager, and ensure that the application is enabled.
- Move to the next section of the guide only once your Customer Success Manager has enabled the required settings
Panorama Configuration for D2L LTI 1.1
Once your Customer Success Manager has successfully enabled the required settings for your institution, you will be provided with a Key and Secret. Your Key and Secret will be required for this section to enable Panorama for all the courses within D2L for LTI 1.1.
- Log in as an Admin.
- From the top-right corner, click the Gear icon.
- Under Organization Related, click External Learning Tools.
- Select the Manage External Learning Tool Links tab, and then click New Link.
- Enter Panorama as the Title.
- Under URL, copy and paste your zone URL.
- Under Signature, check Sign messages with key/secret with and select Link key/secret.
- Enter your Key and Secret provided to you by your Customer Success Manager.
- Under Security Settings, select Use link security settings, and check the settings listed below.
- Send tool consumer information to tool provider
- Send context information to tool provider
- Send course information to tool provider
- Send LTI user ID and LTI role list to tool provider
- Next, check the organization you would like to add the link to.
- Click Add Org Units to add the courses Panorama will be used in.
- Click Save and Close to complete the LTI 1.1 integration.
- Panorama can now be added to the Navbar for your selected courses. To enable this, please proceed to the next section of this guide.
Adding the Panorama LTI 1.1 Link to the Navbar
Once the Panorama integration for D2L LTI 1.1 is completed, follow the steps in this section to add the Panorama LTI link to the Navbar of your desired courses.
- Navigate to a course you would like to add the Panorama LTI link to.
- Click the Actions for Navbar icon, and click Manage All Course Navbars
- Select the Custom Links tab, and then click Create Link.
- Enter an identifiable Name for your link, and then click Insert Quicklin.
- Click External Learning Tools.
- Locate and click on the LTI Link created in the previous section.
- From the Behavior drop-down menu, select Same window.
- Click Save.
- Next, click the Actions for Navbar icon, and click Edit This Navbar.
- Enter a Name for the Navbar
- Click Add Links
- Locate and Select Panorama.
- Click Add.
- Click Save and Close.
- The Panorama LTI link will now be available within the Navbar of your desired course.
