Once Panorama has been integrated with your learning management system (LMS), we recommend making a few customizations and getting familiar with your reports.
Setting Up Approved Courses
You can choose specific courses or accounts that Panorama can access to scan course content.
- Go to Panorama and hover over the side navbar.
- Click Configuration > Scope Settings.
- Select the scope setting for enabling Panorama. Learn more about Panorama's scope settings.
-
- All Scannable Courses: Scannable courses are those that are currently active and in use by instructors and students.
- Selected Canvas Accounts Only: If your institution has a hierarchical list of sub-campuses, departments, etc., you can choose to enable Panorama for specific accounts.
- Selected Courses Only: Choose the specific accounts you'd like Panorama enabled for.
Customizing the Accessibility Scoring Modal
As each organization has its interpretation of how document accessibility should be managed, admins can customize the minimum threshold for severity levels (i.e., Minor, Major, and Severe), their individual weighting in the overall score, and the methods used to calculate accessibility scores. These will determine how Accessibility Reports are scored on files as Panorama completes the scans.
- Go to Panorama and hover over the side navbar.
- Click Configuration > Scoring Model.
- Click Customize Scoring Model.
- Within the model, select your desired options in each step to adjust how Panorama scores the accessibility of courses and files:
- Scoring Modal: The scoring modal determines how accessibility scores are calculated. You can view scenarios for each model to have a deeper understanding.
- Weight: Determines how accessibility scores are evaluated (i.e., weighted) when calculating the accessibility score.
- Level: Customize the severity level of each issue.
- Threshold: Customize the threshold at which Panorama will detect an issue.
- Review and confirm your adjustments, then click Confirm to update the scoring model.
