Dismissing issues flagged by the Accessibility Engine in YuJa EqualGround

Admins in YuJa EqualGround can dismiss issues that are flagged by the Accessibility Engine, giving them control over what gets remediated across their web assets. Admins can also implement version control in the platform by restoring changes that were removed from previously dismissed issues. This guide explains how admins can dismiss issues for web pages, view all dismissed issues, and restore dismissed issues for an entire scanned site. 

Dismissing issues for a web page in YuJa EqualGround

  1. Log into YuJa EqualGround as an admin.

  2. Hover over the left side navbar and select Sites.

  3. Choose the site that you want to check accessibility issues for.Group 1 (25).png
  4. Ensure you are in the Web Pages tab. Select your desired web page. Step 3 (1).png
  5. Select a specific issue that you want to dismiss. Step 4 (1).png
  6. At the bottom of the page, click the Dismiss Issue button. Step 5 (1).png
  7. You will be presented with the following options:

    • Dismiss for this instance only: Only the selected issue will be dismissed.

    • Dismiss for all instances on this page: All instances of the same issue type on the current page will be dismissed.

    • Dismiss for all instances with the same code snippet: All instances of the same issue type across the website will be dismissed.

    • Reason for Dismissal (Optional): When users dismiss an issue, they can leave a comment explaining the reason for the dismissal for future or inter-team reference.

  8. After selecting one of the options listed in Step 7, click the Dismiss Instance button to complete the process.

Viewing all dismissed issues in YuJa EqualGround

  1. Log into YuJa EqualGround as an admin.

  2. Hover over the left side navbar and select Sites.

  3. Choose the site you want to check issues for.

  4. In the left side navbar, select Dismissed Issues. In this page you can view the following tabs:
    • Accessibility Issues: All accessibility issues that have been dismissed using YuJa EqualGround in the entire website. 

    • Usability Issues: All usability issues that have been dismissed using YuJa EqualGround in the entire website.

Restoring dismissed issues in YuJa EqualGround

  1. Follow steps 1 to 4 in the Viewing all dismissed issues in YuJa EqualGround section of this guide. 

  2. Find a dismissed issue that you want to restore changes for. Under the Actions column, select the kebab menu. Click Restore from the dropdown options.

  3. A Confirm Restore popup window will appear. Select Restore Issues to complete the process.
