Through the Platform Settings, Administrators can customize messages that will appear when users import a video from YouTube. In addition to a custom message, Administrators are able to provide a link to their country's legal rulings for users to refer to. This guide will provide administrators a thorough breakdown on how they can add custom messages, and, how these messages will appear to users when importing a YouTube video.
Accessing the Platform Settings
To begin, users must first access the Platform Settings tab.
- Click on the Main Menu icon located at the top-right corner of your screen. From the list of options that appear, click on Admin Panel. Then, hover your mouse over the left-side panel to cause it to expand. From the list of options, select Platform.
- On your screen, you'll notice a series of tabs. Click on Platform Settings. Then, scroll all the way to the bottom of your page and direct yourself to the Additional Options.
Customizing Video Import Messages
- The designated textbox for YouTube Import Notice allows Administrators to create a customized message that will appear when a user imports a video from YouTube. Here, Administrators can add a disclaimer reminding users that the media is being imported for educational purposes in compliance with their residing country's laws and regulations.
- The designated textbox for YouTube Import Notice Link is where Administrators can add the official link to their country's legal rulings for users who wish to access it.
