Himalayas' Job Management dashboard allows Administrators to keep track of existing and upcoming jobs.
Accessing the Dashboard
How the Dashboard Works
Once you have accessed the Job Management dashboard, you will notice a series of logs. This is where your Himalayas-related jobs are located.
- Title: This refers to the title of the Job, which is also the same name you used to save your Himalayas archive folder.
- Details About Job and Overview: When users click the arrow on the left-side of the Job's Title, a drop-down section will appear providing users details related to the Job. It also provides users the ability to View All Files, Undo, and Delete jobs.
- Start Date: Indicates the date and time when the Job was initiated.
- End Date: Indicates the date and time when the Job was completed.
- Type: Type refers to whether the Job is an Archive task, or, a Restore task. Users will find four different Job Types.
- Archived: Refers to jobs that have successfully archived files into Himalayas.
- Archiving: Refers to jobs that are currently in the process of archiving files into Himalayas.
- Restored: Refers to jobs that have successfully retrieved files from Himalayas and placed them back into users Media Library.
- Restoring: Refers to jobs that are currently in the process of retrieving files from Himalayas and are being placed back into users Media Library.
- Progress: Users are provided a visual progress bar and a percentage value to indicate how much of the Job has been completed.
How to View All Files
Administrators are able View All Files associated with each Job.
- Click the arrow on the left-side of the Job's Title, a drop-down section will appear.
- Click on View All Files.
- This will open a module listing all the files associated with the Job alongside their individual statuses. Moreover, for files that were unsuccessful, Administrators will be provided a Message detailing the reason and possible remedies.
How to Undo an Archive Job
Administrators are able to Undo an Archive Job directly from the Job Management dashboard.
- Click the arrow on the left-side of the Job's Title, a drop-down section will appear.
- Then, click on the Undo button.
- A message will appear asking you to confirm your decision. Click Confirm.
- Once the archive process has been undone, an email will be sent shortly afterwards, notifying you that the process has been completed.
Using the Filtering Options
The Job Management's filtering options allows Administrators to refine their search and allows them to easily and quickly locate specific jobs.
- Find by Title or UUID: Administrators can search for a specific Job by entering in the name of the archive folder, or, the Job Unique ID. The UUID number can be retrieved via Notifications in the Admin Panel.
- Status: From the drop-down menu, users can filter jobs by selecting either of the following two options:
- Pending: Jobs that are currently in the process of Archiving and Restoring.
- Completed: Jobs that have successfully Archived and Restored files.
- Failed: Jobs that have not successfully Archived and Restored files.
- Type: This allows Administrators to filter jobs by either searching for Archive jobs, or, Restore jobs.
- Once you have entered in your filter preferences, click on Search.
