Instructors can configure their own ID verification method in their LMS when creating a Proctoring Profile, or use the ID verification settings created for them by their administrator.
Creating ID verification settings with a custom profile
- Log into your LMS and navigate to the course in which you want to create an assessment.
In your Canvas course, click the YuJa Verity LTI link > Settings > Proctoring Profiles.
Select Create Profile to create your new Proctoring Profile.
- Enter a unique Profile Name and select the proctoring platform intended for the profile. Click Next.
Select the ID verification method required for your profile. Toggle Enable or Disable for either ID Verification, Signature Check, or both. To allow AI ID verification, check the Enable AI ID Verification box.
- Configure the rest of your profile settings on the Restrictions, Resources, and Save Location tabs in navigation sidebar.
Review your profile settings. Click the edit icons on the right side of the page if you want to make any changes to the settings. Select the Save Profile button once you are satisfied with the review.
Using pre-configured ID verification settings from your administrator
Pre-configured proctoring profiles created by your administrator already have set ID verification configurations. This means that ID Verification is applied to your assessment by default when you choose a proctoring profile that your administrator has created.
- Log into your LMS and locate the Verity LTI link.
Click the YuJa Verity LTI link > Proctored Assessments > Create Assessment
Select your preferred assessment format from the Verity Assessment, Standalone Assessment, and Mock Assessment options. Click Next.
(Optional) If you selected Verity Assessment, select your preferred assessment type and click Next.
- (Optional) If you selected Verity Assessment, fill out the assessment details under Course and Grade, General Information, Availability and Timing, and Attempts and Submissions sections. After completing these sections, click Next.
- (Optional) If you selected Verity Assessment, choose question types for your quiz. If you are creating an assignment, choose the question. When completed, click Next.
Select your desired proctoring method and click Next.
Find and select the proctoring profile created by your administrator. Optionally, search for the profile name in the search bar on the page. Click Next.
Note: Pre-made proctoring profiles do not require you to manually choose the ID Verification settings. The settings have already been configured.
Review the Assessment Details. Click on any of the edit icons on the right side of the page if you need to revise settings. Once you are satisfied with your changes, click Save and Publish.
