The YuJa DocAssist Accessibility Module offers a unique workflow that allows you to request custom alternative formats and document remediation. Requests are fulfilled by YuJa’s Accessibility Experts or by your own institution's accessibility team to deliver more compliant learning materials.
YuJa DocAssist comes equipped with two key accessibility features: custom formats and accessibility remediation. Here's how to use each of them within your LMS.
Using YuJa DocAssist to Request Custom Alternative Formats
YuJa DocAssist can be used to request custom alternative formats from YuJa’s Accessibility Experts or your own institution's accessibility team.
Navigate to DocHub in YuJa Panorama and hover over the file for which you want to request a custom alternative format. Click View.
Click Alternative Formats at the top of the page.
In the Alternative Formats Menu, click Custom Formats.
Click Request Custom Format.
- Enter your email address and describe your request in the designated fields.
Click Submit Request to request a custom alternative format from YuJa’s Accessibility Experts or your own institution's accessibility team.
Upon submitting your request, you'll see that it has been successfully submitted and can choose to submit another request or return to the main menu.
Using YuJa DocAssist to Request Accessibility Remediation
YuJa DocAssist can also be used to request accessibility remediation directly from YuJa’s Accessibility Experts.
Navigate to DocHub in YuJa Panorama and hover over the file for which you want to request accessibility remediation. Click View.
In the bottom right corner, click Fix This Document.
Click Send To YuJa Accessibility Experts.
- Enter your email address and describe your request in the designated fields.
Click Submit Request to request accessibility remediation directly from YuJa’s Accessibility Experts.
Upon submitting your request, you'll see that it has been successfully submitted and that it may take 48 hours to complete.
