Moodle Snap is a plugin that drastically changes the original Moodle user interface. This guide will walk you through how to create, configure, and take quizzes within Moodle Snap. Instructors will find Creating a YuJa Verity Quiz most relevant, and students will find Taking a YuJa Verity Quiz most relevant.
Before You Start
Ensure you have downloaded the YuJa Verity Extension for your web browser.
Creating a YuJa Verity Quiz
- Log in to Moodle as an administrator.

Open the course you would like to create a quiz in.

Click the Verity LTI link to authenticate yourself. When you are finished, close the LTI link window.
Note: Ensure the YuJa Verity Extension is pinned to help authentication proceed smoothly.

Select Create learning activity.

Click on Quiz.
- Proceed to create your quiz, then click Save and display
- Click on the gear icon to the right of the screen.

Under Quiz Administration, Select Settings.
- To the right of the page, click on YuJa Verity. In the drop-down, check YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Platform.

Click on Configure Settings. YuJa Verity will automatically create a password under Extra restrictions on attempts to restrict access to the quiz without the Verity extension enabled. The platform will automatically fill in the password for students authenticated through the YuJa Verity extension.

Select your desired proctoring method, then click Next.

Select your desired Profile, then click Next.

(Optional) Select test-takers to add accommodations for, then click Next.

Review your configurations and click Confirm to complete the process.
- Click Save and return to course or Save and display to save all your settings in Moodle.
Taking a YuJa Verity Quiz
Before you start, download the YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Platform Web Extension.
- Log in to Moodle as a Student.

Select the appropriate course.

Click the Verity LTI link to authenticate yourself. When you are finished, close the LTI link window.
- Select the quiz you would like to take and click on Attempt Quiz.

A window for the Verity Proctoring Pre-Assessment Check will open. Click on Start Assessment Check.

YuJa Verity will run a System Check. When you see green checkmarks for both requirements, click Next.

The platform will check to see if the YuJa Verity Browser Extension is enabled in Incognito Mode, then click Next.
Note: If your extension is not enabled for Incognito Mode, go to Manage Extensions in your browser and select the YuJa Verity extension. Look for an "Allow in Incognito" checkbox and select it. Go back to your Assessment Check and click Try Again.

Click on Select Screen Source. Choose the screen you would like to share to start your screen recording.

Select the appropriate video and audio source from the dropdown menus, then click Next.

To complete your ID Check, position yourself in the middle of the webcam view and click Take Photo.

Position your ID in the rectangle shown in the webcam and click Take Photo, then click Next.
- Review your information, then click Next.

When you are ready, click Start Assessment.
- Complete your assessment, then click Submit all and finish.

YuJa Verity will load your recorded proctoring session. Click Close Tab to complete the process.
