YuJa's Video Compliance Player provides a central hub for adding compliant features to videos and viewing them. This guide will outline how to use features including inline commenting, transcripts, captions, Enhanced Audio Description, and chaptering.
Getting Started
Uploading a Video
After opening the Video Compliance Editor, click Generate New Video in the top right corner.
Click Choose Video to select video content from your computer’s files, or Drag & Drop the selected video into the box. Click Continue.
Note: The chosen video must have audio.
Select what compliance measures you would like to apply to the video.
Click Continue. After, click Generate to complete the process. The compliant video will begin generating. Once complete, click View Generated Videos for access.
Linking a Video
After opening the Video Compliance Editor, click Generate New Video in the top right-hand corner.
Click on Video Link and paste a Video URL from YouTube, Vimeo, Panopto, or Kaltura.
Click Continue.
Select what compliance measures you would like to apply to the video.
- Click Generate to complete the process. The compliant video will begin generating. Once complete, click View Generated Videos.
Opening a Video
- Click on the selected video.
At the bottom of the window, locate Enhanced Video Link. Click Open Video Link. Note: Depending on the amount of text in the video’s description, you may have to scroll down to find the Enhanced Video Link.
Using Compliant Measures
Using Enhanced Audio Description
After opening the video, click on the gear button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Click on Enhance Audio Description to activate it.
Using Captions and Transcripts
Navigate to the bottom of the screen until the control bar pops up. The CC button will be in the lower right-hand corner.
- Click on the CC button. Captions will automatically appear in the video.
To use the transcript, locate the Sidebar button next to the CC button.
At the top of the Sidebar on the left, click on the CC button to read the transcript as the video plays.
Downloading Transcripts
- Navigate to the control bar at the bottom of the video player.
Click on the Sidebar button.
- Click on the File button.
Click on the Attachment button that looks like a paper clip.
- To download the transcript, click on the Download button next to the transcript file. It will download as a PDF.
- To email the transcript, click on the button directly below the purple File Folder that says "Files."
Type in the email address you would like to send the transcript file to and click Send.
Using Chaptering
Navigate to the bottom of the screen until the control bar pops up. The Sidebar button will be next to the CC button.
- Click on the Play button to access chapters.
Click on the selected chapter to begin watching.
Using In-Line Commenting
Navigate to the bottom of the screen until the control bar pops up. The Sidebar button will be next to the CC button.
- Click on the Commenting button.
Use the Text box to share ideas and ask questions.
