You can export EqualGround reports and upload them to Microsoft Power BI to visualize your data.
Exporting an EqualGround Report
To visualize your EqualGround data on Power BI, you need to download both the issues report template and the report in JSON format.
- In EqualGround's sidebar, select Reports.
- Select your desired report from the drop-down menu.
- Select your desired time range for the report in the Filter by Date selection menu.
- Click Export Report.
- Expand the Advanced Options section, click (Report Name) Template (e.g. Issues Report Template) to download the template.
- In the Export by field, select Direct Download.
- In the Format field, select JSON.
- Click Export.
Uploading a EqualGround Report into Power BI Desktop
Before proceeding, make sure you have downloaded Power BI, the desired report in JSON format, and the report template.
- Locate the downloaded report in your File Explorer.
- Right-click the file, then select Copy as path to copy the file path. You will paste the path later.
- Open the downloaded report template in Power BI. A Refresh window will pop up with the message: File or Folder: Could not find file 'C:\Enter the JSON file path for issues report'.
- Click Close.
Note: You will be entering the JSON file path later as well. - In the Data side column, hover over the name of your report template, then click the More Actions button.
- Select Edit query. The new Power Query Editor window will pop up.
- On the side navbar, select Source under APPLIED STEPS.
- In the top formula bar, highlight C:\Enter the JSON file path for issues report, then paste the JSON file path copied in step 2 to replace it.
- Click the Home tab on the top navbar, then click Close & Apply to view the data visualization.
