A Managed Guest Session is a secure, temporary environment on an institution Chromebook. Your instructor sets it up for you to take Verity-proctored assessments. You do not need to create or sign in with a Google account. The Managed Guest Session will remain active until you end the session, or reach the time limit set by your instructor. When the session ends, all local data on the device is wiped.
Logging In to a Managed Guest Session
To take your Verity-proctored assessment, your instructor may require you to log in to a managed guest session on your Chromebook.
- Sign out of your personal account on the Chromebook.
On the Chromebook sign-in screen, click the Arrow button under Managed Guest Session.
Note: If the Managed Guest Session is not selected, select Managed Guest Session from the sidebar.
- Click the Arrow button. Your managed guest session will start.
