In some cases, when a Content Creator tries to manually upload a video to the Video Platform, the upload may be stuck in a state of Pending. This can be due to the Content Creator's MacOS device time not syncing with the Apple Server time. This guide provides Content Creators instructions on how to re-sync their date and time with the Apple Server time.
Synchronizing the Mac Device's Date & Time with Apple Time Server
- Select the Apple Icon in the upper-left corner of your screen.
- Select System Preferences >> Date & Time.
- Click the Lock Icon in lower-left corner of the Finder, then enter your administrator password to unlock the settings.
- Add a check to the checkbox next to Set date and time automatically. Your device will then receive the current time from the network time server selected in the adjacent menu.
The default for the network time server (or NTP) is time.apple.com. This can be changed by selecting a different server from the dropdown menu, or by manually typing in "ntp.theNameOfYourTimeServer.com" (This is only an example. Add the actual name of the time server in the URL if performing this step).
