With the Video Platform, Content Creators can share their folders with both internal and external users.
Sharing Folders with Internal Users
Content Creators can easily share their folders and customize the access level with other internal users in the Video Platform.
- Log in to the Video Platform.
- Choose the folder you would like to share.
- Select More Actions and choose Share Folders.
- Type in the name of the desired user.
- Configure the Access Level for that user.
- Read Only: Allow the user to access the folder and the media within it. Note: You can allow Read Only users to download media content from folders within CampusTube. To learn how, please visit our guide on
- Edit Caption Access: Allow the user to add or edit captions for all videos in the folder.
- Edit Access: Allow the user to access and make changes to the folder, as well as the media within it.
- Full Access: Allow the user to access, make changes, and delete the folder, as well as the media within it.
- Next, click Share.
- Finally, click Save to share
Sharing Folders with Groups
Content Creators can share their folders located within the EnterpriseTube Library and CampusTube by customizing the access level for Groups created by their institution's admins or sub-admins.
- Log in to the Video Platform.
- Click CampusTube, located in the left-hand menu (for EnterpriseTube click EnterpriseTube -> Library), and then select Edit Gallery, located to the right of the Search bar, to select the folder you would like to share.
- If you would like to select a sub-folder to share, click on CampusTube or EnterpriseTube -> Library, select the location of the sub-folder, and then click Edit Channel.
- Once you have located the folder or sub-folder you wish to share, click on the folder to select it.
- From the More Actions drop-down menu, select Permissions.
- Under the Add Permissions drop-down menu, select Group Based.
- Select the Group you would like to share the folder with.
- Next, select the access level group members will have.

- Edit Caption Access: Allow the user to add or edit captions for videos.
- Edit Access: Allow the user to access and make changes to the folder, as well as the media within it.
- Full Access: Allow the user to access, make changes, and delete the folder, as well as the media within it.
- Once satisfied with your group permission, click Add Permission.
- If you wish to share your folder with additional groups, you may repeat steps seven to nine.
- Check Replace all sub-folders' permissions with this folder's permission if you would like group members to have the same access to sub-folders within the select folder.
- Finally, click Save to share your folder with your desired Groups.
Sharing Folders with External Users
Content Creators can share their folders with external users by obtaining direct links or embed codes.
- Log in to the Video Platform.
- Choose the folder you would like to share.
- Click the gear icon on the top right of the folder and select More...
- Navigate to the Links tab.
- Highlight and copy either the Embed Code or the Direct Link.
- Share the Embed Code or the Direct Link with any desired external user.
