You can use YuJa Lumina's caption editing tools to increase the accuracy of auto-captioning when media content is trimmed or altered.
Editing captions in the YuJa Lumina Video Editor

- Click Manage Media at the top of your screen.
- Go to the video you want to edit.
- Hover over it and select Edit to open the Video Editor.
- In the sidebar, click Captions.
- Edit the caption based on your needs:
Update the closed-captions timestamps: Enter the new start and end times for each caption.
Edit the closed-caption texts: Click on the caption text in the text box to edit it.
Delete a closed-caption line: Hover over the caption, and click the trash can icon for deletion.
Add a new closed-caption line: Click + Add at mm:ss (i.e. 00:01) and enter a new caption.
- Find and replace captions: Enter text in the Search captions... field to search for specified text, and enter new text in the Replace field. Click the Replace button to replace the found instance in the captions, or click Replace All to change all instances in the captions. Use the Up (⌃) and Down (⌄) buttons to navigate between found instances.
Adjusting captions after editing
While you trim an audio or video clip, the closed-caption timestamps may become invalid. You have the option to automatically adjust captions, exclude captions entirely, or re-request auto captions after editing.
- Log in to YuJa Lumina.
- Click Manage Media.
- Go to the media you want to edit.
- Hover over it and select Edit to open the Video Editor.
- Edit the video as needed.
When you're satisfied with the edits, click Save Project in the top right corner.
- Choose your preferred option: Automatically adjust captions, do not include captions, or re-request auto-captions. You may also choose to update the video transcript automatically alongside the caption update. If you choose to automatically adjust captions, they will be adjusted to match the new audio and video tracks.
After you've chosen your preferred option, click Replace.
