The Platform's Video Editor offers three image-specific editing options. Using these tools, you can insert a watermark into your media content, blur portions of an image on your screen, or add a virtual background. These changes will appear after the media has re-processed. Alternatively, you can also insert slides and text overlays to your videos.
Inserting a Watermark or Overlay
Inserting a watermark allows you to brand your content. You may want to add a watermark or overlay to your media if you want to share it publicly.
- Hover over the video you want to edit and select Edit to open the Video Editor.
- Turn on the Advanced Mode toggle to enable advanced features.
- Click Watermark in the side panel.
- Click Upload Media to upload an image.
- Select the video stream that you want to insert the slide to.
- Enter the Duration of slide override in seconds, or check the Apply Watermark to Entire Video checkbox to apply it to the whole video.
- Click Apply.
- Drag the uploaded image to your desired position on the video clip preview screen.
Blurring an Image
The Blur tool allows you to blur an image or part of a video, or completely black out a section of the video. This is an effective way to hide personal information or other unneeded content.
- Hover over the video you want to edit and select Edit to open the Video Editor.
- Turn on the Advanced Mode toggle to enable advanced features.
- Click Blur in the side panel.
- Select the video stream that you want to blur.
- Enter the Duration of slide override in seconds.
- (Optional) To blackout that portion of the video instead of blurring it, check the Blackout Entire Video checkbox.
- Click Apply.
- To adjust the blurred position, drag the gray rectangle to your desired area on the video. To resize the blurred area, click and drag the corners of the gray rectangle to cover the desired portion.
Note: The gray rectangle will be replaced with the blur effect in your media after saving.
Adding a Virtual Background
Applying a virtual background to any stream enables you to customize your video and maintain the privacy of your personal location.
- Hover over the video you want to edit and select Edit to open the Video Editor.
- Turn on the Advanced Mode toggle to enable advanced features.
- Click Background in the side panel.
- Click Upload Media to upload an image (PNG, JPG, JPEG, or GIF) as a virtual background.
- Select the video stream that you want to add the virtual background to and click Apply.
