Video Conferences provide a collaborative environment with a variety of functional, collaborative tools for conferences consisting of two to 200 individuals. All users may join with either audio or both video and audio participation from their home or office computers or may call in with a toll-free number.
Initiating Video Conferences with Meet Now
You can use the Meet Now feature to start an immediate Video Conference.
- Navigate to Video Conference at the top of the screen and choose Meet Now.
- Choose to use your Personal Room Link or Create a Meeting Link.
- Invite Participants and Groups to your Video Conference by entering Video Platform usernames, email addresses, Video Platform courses, or Media Channel names.
- Navigate down to Additional Options to configure the following:
- Enable Security Code to require users to enter a password to join the session.
- Enable Record Session to start recording your session immediately. You can enable and disable recording while in the Video Conference.
- Enable Share Afterwards to provide attendees access to the recording of the session.
- Enable Waiting Room to place attendees in a virtual waiting room until the Meeting Owner joins the Video Conference.
- Select Start Meeting. Once started, the Meet Now pop-up will change to allow you to access the Guest Link and to Join Meeting.
- Click Join Meeting to enter the Video Conference.
Scheduling Video Conferences
Video Conferences can also be scheduled from the Video Conference pop-up.
- Navigate to Video Conference at the top of the screen.
- Choose Schedule Meeting.
- Enter a Meeting Name.
- Invite Participants and Groups to your Video Conference by entering Video Platform usernames, email addresses, Video Platform course or Media Channel name.
- Select the date, start time and meeting length of your scheduled session.
- Check the box next to Recurring Meeting to create a recurring session.
- Scroll down to Show Additional Options to configure the following:
- Enable Security Code to require users to enter a password to join the session.
- Enable Record Session to start recording your session immediately. You can enable and disable recording while in the Video Conference.
- Enable Share Afterwards to provide attendees access to the recording of the session.
- Enable Waiting Room to place attendees in a virtual waiting room until the Meeting Owner joins the Video Conference.
- Click on More Options to add Additional Details to be sent to Invitees and change Event Color.
Reviewing Upcoming Meetings
Upcoming Meetings allows you to review any scheduled Video Conferences.
- Navigate to Video Conference at the top of the screen.
- Choose Upcoming Meetings. You may choose to Delete, Invite Participants, or Enter a Meeting if one is active from the Upcoming Meetings pop-up.
- Click View All Upcoming to see the monthly meeting calendar and access other scheduled Video Conferences.
