Video Quizzes support multiple question types. Options include Multiple Choice questions, Select Multiple questions, Short Answer questions, True or False questions, Decision Point questions, Reflective Pauses, and Fill-In-The-Blank. You can select the question type from the Add Question interface on the main screen or the Question entry panel.
Multiple Choice Questions
Multiple Choice questions allow you to input multiple answers and select a single correct answer.
- Choose Add Question.
- Select Multiple Choice.
- Enter the desired question and individual answer options.
- Click the circle next to the answer to mark the correct answer.
- Click Save to add the question to the Quiz.
Select Multiple Questions
Select Multiple questions work like Multiple Choice questions, but offer the ability to select more than one correct answer.
- Choose Add Question.
- Click Select Multiple.
- Enter the desired question and individual answer options.
- Click the circle next to the answers to mark all correct answers.
- Click Save to add the question to the Quiz.
Short Answer Questions
Short Answer questions ask the user to enter an answer in a text box.
- Choose Add Question.
- Click Short Answer
- Enter the desired question.
- Select Save to add the question.
True or False Questions
True or False questions enable Content Creators to ask simple, two-option questions.
- Choose Add Question.
- Select True or False.
- Enter a statement in the Question blank.
- Click True or False to mark the correct answer.
The Reflective Pause
A Reflective Pause provides the opportunity for a rhetorical or deeper thought question or comment on any media. This is ideal in situations where you’re not seeking a clear answer and hope to keep the viewer thinking and engaged.
- Choose Add Question.
- Select Reflective Pause. Enter the desired question or comment.
- Click on Save to add the question.
Decision Point Questions
Decision Point can be used as Choose-Your-Own-Adventure type quiz questions to customize the linear progression of a video based on the response to a proposed Decision. This enables an interactive user experience where video content can be sequenced in a non-linear fashion based on the Decision Point response selected.
- Choose Add Question.
- Select Decision Point.
- Enter the desired question and possible options for the Decision Point question.
- Choose a Video Jump Point for each option. A Video Jump Point is a timestamp within the video where the student will be redirected upon making their selection.
- You may also link resources for students to access from your Media Library by clicking the Choose button and adding your desired resources.
- Click on Save to add the question.
Make sure to add a Decision Point question near the end of the quiz and check the box "Use as ending decision" to allow the students to complete the question and submit the quiz.
Fill-in-the-blanks Questions
Fill-in-the-blank questions allow you to omit one or more words in a statement so users may select an answer to fill in the inserted blanks.
