Adding the Panorama Office Add-In to Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

As an admin, you can download the Panorama Add-In to detect accessibility issues in your Microsoft Word documents and PowerPoint slides in real time. This allows you to review accessibility issues without having to save and upload the document to your Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is more accessible from the start.

Adding the Panorama Office Add-in to Microsoft Word

  1. To install the Panorama Office Add-in in Microsoft Word, open a Word document and click Add-ins in the ribbon at the top of your screen.
  2. Search for "Panorama," and select the Panorama Add-in. The YuJa Panorama Add-in will now be added to the ribbon.

  3. To complete the installation, you’ll first need the access token.
  4. Log into your LMS and navigate to your course. For this example, we’ll use Canvas.
  5. Click the Panorama link in the sidebar.
  6. Next, click Add-ins.
  7. Copy the access token.

  8. Navigate back to Word, and paste the token and click Connect to log in to Panorama.
  9. Once logged into your Panorama account, the Panorama Add-in will be available to enhance the accessibility of your content.
  10. Click Accessibility Report to view and resolve accessibility issues in your document.

  11. Click Alternative Formats to select a new accessible format to download.

Adding the Office Panorama Add-in to Microsoft PowerPoint

  1. To install the Panorama Office Add-in in Microsoft PowerPoint, open slideshow and click Add-ins in the ribbon at the top of your screen.
  2. Search for "Panorama," and select the Panorama Add-in. The YuJa Panorama Add-in will now be added to the ribbon.

  3. To complete the installation, you’ll first need the access token.
  4. Log into your LMS and navigate to your course. For this example, we’ll use Canvas.
  5. Click the Panorama link in the sidebar.
  6. Next, click Add-ins.
  7. Copy the access token.

  8. Navigate back to PowerPoint, and paste the token and click Connect to log in to Panorama.
  9. Once logged into your Panorama account, the Panorama Add-in will be available to enhance the accessibility of your content.
