As an admin, you can connect the FeedbackFlow Platform with your Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) to make it available inside Moodle for creating, viewing, and grading video-based performance assessments.
Adding FeedbackFlow as an External Tool
- Log in to Moodle as an admin, and click Site administration.
- Select Plugins tab from the topbar.
- Under Activity modules, select External tool.
- Click Manage tools.
- Click Configure a tool manually.
- In the LTI Version field, select LTI 1.3.
- In the Public key type field, select Keyset URL.
Enter the following information in these fields accordingly:
- Tool name: YuJa FeedbackFlow
- Tool URL: https://<YourInstitutionURL>.yuja.com/InteractiveModuleLTI3Entry.jsp
- Public keyset: https://<YourInstitutionURL>.yuja.com/P/Data/LTI3JwksJSONS
- Initiate login URL: https://<YourInstitutionURL>.yuja.com/LTI3LoginInit.jsp
- Redirection URI(s): https://<YourInstitutionURL>.yuja.com/InteractiveModuleLTI3Entry.jsp
- In the Custom Parameters field, enter each of the following parameters on a separate line:
- moodle_course_previous_context_ids=$Context.id.history
- lti_login_id=$User.username
- In the Tool configuration usage field, select Show in activity chooser and as a preconfigured tool.
- In the Default Launch Container field, select New Window and check the checkbox of Supports Deep Linking (Content-Item Message).
- Expand the Services section, and select the following settings:
- IMS LTI Assignment and Grade Services: Use this service for grade sync and column management.
- IMS LTI Names and Role Provisioning: Use this service to retrieve members' information as per privacy settings.
- Tool settings: Use this service.
- Expand the Privacy section, and select the following settings:
- Share launcher's name with tool: Always.
- Share launcher's email with tool: Always.
- Accept grades from the new tool: Always.
- Click Save Changes.
- In the Manage tools page, scroll down to the Tools section and locate your newly created tool.
- Click the View Configuration Details icon.
- In the Tool configuration details window, copy the details and send them to your Account Manager to complete the integration process.
Adding the FeedbackFlow LTI Link to a Moodle Course
- Log in to Moodle as an admin, and select the course you want to add FeedbackFlow to.
- Toggle on Edit mode next to your profile icon.
- Expand the section that you want to add FeedbackFlow to, then click + Add an activity or resource.
- Select YuJa FeedbackFlow.
- In the Activity name field, enter the name you want FeedbackFlow to be displayed in your course.
- Click Save and Return to Course.
Connecting Your Moodle Account to FeedbackFlow
After setting up FeedbackFlow in Moodle, you can connect your Moodle account with FeedbackFlow.
- Go to your course and select FeedbackFlow in the navbar.
- Within FeedbackFlow, click the arrow icon to expand the side navbar.
- Select Configuration.
- From the Select Integration drop-down menu, select Moodle.
- Fill out the required fields:
- ISS: https://<YOUR_MOODLE_DOMAIN>
- Client ID: Enter the client ID obtained earlier in the Adding YuJa FeedbackFlow to Moodle section.
- OIDC Endpoint: https://<YOUR_MOODLE_DOMAIN>/mod/lti/auth.php
- JWKS Endpoint: https://<YOUR_MOODLE_DOMAIN>/mod/lti/certs.php
- Outh2 Token Endpoint: https://<YOUR_MOODLE_DOMAIN>/mod/lti/token.php
- Deployment ID: Enter the deployment ID copied earlier. If entering multiple Deployment IDs, separate each by a single comma.
- Once you fill in all required fields, click Save Changes. You will then be able to access FeedbackFlow from your Moodle courses.
Note: When filling out the API Configuration fields, please ensure that there are no spelling mistakes, extra symbols, or spaces.
