Ending a Verity Proctoring Session for Your Assessment

After completing the proctored assessment, you have to end the Verity proctoring session to stop Verity from proctoring. Ending the session does not submit your assessment.

Ending a Verity Proctoring Session within Your LMS

Submitting a proctored assessment in your learning management system (e.g., Canvas, Moodle, D2L, or Blackboard) will allow Verity to automatically end the proctoring session. Learn more about accessing a proctored assessment in your LMS.

  1. After answering all quiz questions in your LMS quiz page, submit the quiz in your LMS:
    • Canvas: Click Submit Quiz to submit your assessment. This will submit your quiz and end the proctoring session.The quiz page in Canvas highlighting Submit Quiz button.
    • Moodle: Click Finish attempt ... to submit your assessment. This will submit your quiz and end the proctoring session.The quiz page in Moodle highlighting Submit Quiz button.
    • D2L: Click Submit Quiz to submit your assessment. This will submit your quiz and end the proctoring session.The quiz page in D2L highlighting Submit Quiz button.
    • Blackboard: Click Submit to submit your assessment. Then click Close in the Your submission was successful! window. This will submit your quiz and end the proctoring session.The quiz page in Blackboard highlighting Submit Quiz button.
  2. Wait for your proctoring session to be uploaded to Verity.
  3. On the Proctoring Session Complete page, click Close Tab to close the page.

Ending a Verity Proctoring Session Outside Your LMS

If you’re taking a third-party assessment or a standalone assessment outside your learning management system (e.g., Canvas, Moodle, D2L, or Blackboard), you must manually end the Verity proctoring session after submitting your work. Ending the session does not submit your assessment.

  1. After answering all the quiz questions, submit your assessment on the assessment platform.
  2. After submitting your assessment, click End Assessment in the Verity Test Proctoring window.

  3. Click End Proctoring to end the proctoring session.
    Note: Ending the proctoring session will not submit your assessment and will close your assessment tab. Make sure you have submitted your assessment before ending the proctoring session.

  4. On the Proctoring Session Complete page, click Close Tab to close the page.
