You can create video quizzes for any uploaded video in YuJa Lumina. Once a quiz closes, you can view quiz responses in the Grade Book. You can also create playback quizzes that award points based on the percentage of the video watched. Video quizzes can be edited, shared, or deleted at any time.
Creating a video quiz in YuJa Lumina
- Log in to YuJa Lumina.
- Click Manage Media.
- Go to the video you want to add a quiz to.
Note: You cannot create a quiz for other media types such as images, audio, or documents. - Hover over it and select More…
- Select Quizzes.
- Under Create Video Quiz, click + Create.

Enter a quiz name for your video quiz.

(Optional) If you'd like to enable quiz proctoring with YuJa Verity, click Proctoring Setting. If you don't want to enable proctoring, skip down to step 16 of this guide. Please note that enabling proctoring will consume a credit.

If you chose to enable quiz proctoring, select a method of proctoring from the options given. Note: If your institution doesn't have YuJa Verity, only Automated Proctoring will be available. After you've selected your preferred method of proctoring, click Next.

Choose between the YuJa Verity Browser Extension or the Desktop Lockdown App for students to attempt proctored quizzes. After you've selected your preferred platform, click Next.

Using the Enabled/Disabled toggles, configure recording settings such as Record Video, Record Audio, Record Screen, and Room Scan. After you've selected your preferred recording settings, click Next.

Using the Enabled/Disabled toggles, configure verification settings such as ID Verification and Signature Check. After you've selected your preferred verification settings, click Next.

Using the Enabled/Disabled toggles, configure additional restrictions such as Disable Clipboard, Disable File Download, and several more. After you've selected your preferred proctoring features, click Next.

Using the Enabled/Disabled toggles, select resources to allow for students during the video quiz, such as Calculator, Whiteboard, and Reference Material. After you've selected the resources allowed, click Next.

Review your YuJa Verity proctoring settings. Once you're satisfied with them, click Confirm to return to the Video Quiz Editor.
- Click the Play button in the middle of the video to play it.
- Go to the video timestamp where you want to add a quiz question and then pause the video.
- Click Add Question to insert a question at the selected timestamp.
- Select a question type for your quiz question:
- Multiple Choice
- Select Multiple
- Short Answer
- True or False
- Reflective Pause
- Decision Point

Fill-in-the-Blank
- Enter your Question and configure the number of Points.
Note: Learn more about using LaTex to create mathematic questions. - Enter the answer options according to your question type: Multiple Choice, Select Multiple, Short Answer, True or False, Reflective Pause, Decision Point, and Fill-in-the-Blanks.

Click Add.

- Click Save to save it as a YuJa Lumina video quiz draft.

(Optional) if you wish to publish the video quiz to your course, click the arrow next to the Save button, then click Save and Post.

(Optional) Select your course name and a Start Date, then click Publish to publish the video quiz to your course.
