Integrating the Video Platform With Panorama

You can integrate the Enterprise Video Platform with Panorama by adding an access key. After the integration is complete, any videos embedded from the Video Platform into WYSIWYG content that Panorama can scan will automatically be checked for the presence of captions. Please note, to complete this integration, you will need to be an admin or a user with API token access on the Video Platform, and you must have admin access on Panorama. 

Obtaining Your API Access Token as a Video Platform Admin

The first step in the process is to obtain an API token from the Video Platform that will be used as the Panorama access key.

  1. Log in to the Video Platform as an admin and from the Main Menu icon, select Admin Panel.
  2. From the left-side navbar, select Platform.The Platform tab is shown selected from the left-side admin navbar.
  3. Select the API tab.
  4. For the token you would like to use, click Generate.
  5. Click Save on the API page.

  6. Click Settings for the token.

  7. Under Media Object Model, check Retrieves HLS Streams, and click Save.

  8. Click Save on the API page and then click the Copy button for your token. You can then proceed to entering the API token.

Obtaining Your API Access Token as a Video Platform Non-Admin

To obtain your API token as a non-admin user, your admin must allow you to generate your own tokens.  

  1. Log in to the Video Platform and click on your Profile icon and select My Account.
  2. From the left-side navbar, select Configurations.

  3. In the API Token panel, click Generate for your desired token and then select Settings from the more actions menu.

  4. Under Media Object Model, check Retrieves HLS Streams, and click Save.

  5. At the top of the page, click Save Changes, and then click the Copy icon for the token. You can then proceed to the next section of this guide to past in your token.

Integrating the Video Platform With Panorama

Once you've copied your API token, you can enter it into Panorama as an admin to complete the integration.

  1. Log in to Panorama as an admin and from the left-side navbar, click Configurations and then select Integration Settings.

  2. From the Select Integration menu choose Video Providers.
  3. Click Add.

  4. In the Access Key field, enter the API token copied previously.
  5. Click Add.

  6. Click Save Changes to complete the process.
