Integrating EqualGround into Drupal

Admins can integrate their EqualGround platform into Drupal as a module to help identify accessibility issues as content is created in real time.

Downloading the EqualGround Plugin

  1. Open the EqualGround platform in a browser and log in as an admin.
  2. From the left-side navigation menu, click Configurations and then select Integration Settings.
  3. Under the Select Integration drop-down menu, select Drupal Plugin.
    The EqualGround integration page shows the option for the drupal plugin.
  4. Click Download Plugin. The equalground-drupal-plugin.zip file will download to your device.
  5. Finally, copy your Identifier Key and proceed to the next section of this guide.

Adding the EqualGround Plugin to Drupal

  1. Open Drupal in your browser and log in.
  2. On the Manage page, from the rows of tabs at the top, select Extend.
  3. Click Add new module.
    The add new module button is shown on Drupal's Extend page.
  4. Click Choose File and select the equalground-drupal-plugin.zip file downloaded in the previous section of this guide.
  5. Click Continue.

  6. Click Enable newly added modules.

  7. On the Extend page, locate and select EqualGround Plugin.
  8. Click Install.

  9. Next, from the rows of tabs at the top, click Configuration.
  10. Click EqualGround Settings.
    EqualGround settings are entered for the identifier key and region.
  11. Fill out the information as shown below.
    • EqualGround Identifier Key: The Identifier Key that was copied in the previous section of this guide. 
    • Region: Select the Zone which you're in. If you're unsure of your zone, please contact your Client Success Manager.
  12. Click Save configuration to complete the integration. You can then use EqualGround on Drupal to view accessibility issues.
