Drupal admins can integrate the Media Chooser to embed videos hosted on the Video Platform. Once the integration is complete, individual users on your Drupal platform can add the Media Chooser to their account.
Adding the Media Chooser to Drupal
You will need to add the Media Chooser to your Drupal platform. Before proceeding with the steps below, please ensure you have received a drupal_yuja_media ZIP file from your Client Success Manager.
- Log in to your Drupal account, and from the top row, select Manage.
- Select the Extend tab.
- Click Add new module.
- Click Choose File and select the drupal_yuja_media file sent by your Client Success Manager.
- Click Continue.
- Once it has been successfully added, click Enable newly added modules.
- Locate the Media Chooser by searching it within the Filter bar.
- Select the Media Chooser and then click Install.
- Once installed, select the Configuration tab.
- Under Content Authoring, locate and select YuJa Enterprise Video Platform Configuration.
- In the YuJa Institution URL field, enter your institution URL.
- Example: https://deerfield.yuja.com/
- Click Save Configuration.
Creating an API Access Field
An API access field needs to be added to each account on your Drupal platform. This will allow users to enter their YuJa API, allowing them to connect to the Media Chooser.
- Log in to your Drupal account, and from the top row, select Manage.
- Select the Configuration tab.
- Under People, select Account settings.
- Select the Manage fields tab and click Create a new field.
- Enter any identifiable name of your choosing for the Label.
- Under Choose a type of field, select YuJa User Access Token, and click Continue.

Adding the YuJa Media Chooser to Your Drupal Active Toolbar
Once you've integrated the Media Chooser with your Drupal account, it will be available to add to Drupal's HTML editor.
- Log in to your Drupal account, and from the top row, select Manage.
- Select the Configuration tab.
- Click Text formats and editors under Content authoring.
- Locate your CKEditor 5 and click Configurations.
- Under the list of Available buttons, locate YuJa Media.
- Click and drag it into the Active toolbar.
- Click Save configurations to complete the process. Drupal users can then add the Media Chooser to their account so that it's available in the HTML editor when creating content.
