As an admin, you can add websites to EqualGround to configure automatic or manual scans. If you are adding multiple websites, you have the option for EqualGround to detect them automatically or to bulk upload a list of websites from a CSV file. Please follow the relevant section of this guide to get started.
Adding and configuring a single website for scans
Before proceeding with the steps below, please ensure your Account Manager has set up your organization's website scope.
- Log in to the EqualGround platform.
- Hover over the side Navbar and select Websites.
- Click Add Website.
- Click Website > Continue.

Input the URL of the website you want to scan. Click Continue.
Note: If you want to scan additional websites (subdomains) under your entered website, see the next section. - From the first dropdown menu, select the Content Management System (CMS) that your website uses.
- If you would like to scan the entire website, select Entire Website.

(Optional) If you would like to exclude pages from your scan, click Exclude Pages and type in the URL of the page(s) you want to exclude. Then, select Add.
Note: The entry point URL is the starting page of your website where the scan will begin. You can learn more about potential errors here.

From the dropdown menu, select how often you would like to scan your website. If you do not require any advanced configurations, click Start Scan.

(Optional) If you require advanced configurations, select Advanced Settings dropdown menu.
- (Optional) If you would like to start the scan from a page different than the URL you used in step 5, click Yes to, "Do you want to start the scan from a different page?"

Input the starting URL and click Add.

(Optional) If your website requires authentication through a login page, click Yes to, "Does your website require a username and password to access?", and then enter the necessary credentials to allow EqualGround to access your website for scanning.

(Optional) If your website uses a firewall or IP restrictions, click Yes to, "Does your website use a firewall or IP restrictions?" and copy the provided IP addresses into your websites firewall allowlist.

(Optional) If you would like to use your website's sitemap, select Yes to the corresponding question and input your sitemap URL. Next, click Add.

(Optional) If you would like to find webpages to scan separately, click Yes to Find Web Pages and Scan Separately. Then, select Find Web Pages to initiate your scan.
Adding multiple websites for accessibility scans via URL
- Log in to the EqualGround platform.
- Hover to the side Navbar and select Websites.

Click Bulk Actions.

Select Add Multiple Websites.

Select Manually to add a URL of the website that you want to scan. Click Continue.

Input the website URL you would like to find subdomains for. Click Find Websites.
- Select the subdomains that you would like to scan. Click Continue.

Select Yes to apply the same scan settings to all selected websites and initiate scanning, or select No to configure each website’s scan settings individually after adding them to EqualGround.

Select Same CMS to apply the same CMS to all selected websites and initiate scanning, or select Different CMS to configure each website’s scan settings individually after adding them to EqualGround.
- (Optional) If you selected Yes and Same CMS for the last two steps, proceed to select your desired scan frequency from the "How often would you like to scan these websites?" dropdown menu.
- To configure the amount of pages you would like to scan, click on the Advanced Settings dropdown.

Configure the amount of pages you would like to scan. When you are finished, click Start Scan to complete the process.

Note: If you selected No for step 8 or Different CMS for step 9, click Done.
- Click Go to Websites to configure each website's scan settings before initiating the first scan.
Bulk uploading websites for accessibility scans via CSV
You can upload a CSV file to EqualGround to add multiple websites at once for accessibility scanning.
- Log in to the EqualGround platform.
- Hover to the side navbar and select Websites.
- Click Bulk Actions.
- Click Add Multiple Websites.

Select Upload CSV File. Click Continue.

Upload a CSV file that contains the websites you want to scan in the Choose File To Upload field. Next, click Continue.
Note: You can download a sample CSV file to fill in the required information. - Review your uploaded websites and their information.
Note: If an error appears in the upload status, it may indicate that your website cannot be scanned. Learn more about potential errors here. - Refer to the previous section for configuration details for bulk uploads.

When you are finished setting up your configurations, click Start Scan to complete the process.
