As an admin, you can add websites to EqualGround to configure automatic or manual scans. If you are adding multiple websites, you have the option for EqualGround to detect them automatically or to bulk upload a list of websites from a CSV file. Please follow the relevant section of this guide to get started.
Adding and Configuring a Single Website for Scans
Before proceeding with the steps below, please ensure your Client Success Manager has set up your organization's website scope.
- Log in to the EqualGround platform.
- Hover over the side Navbar and select Websites.
- Click Add Website.
- Choose Enter Website URL to add a URL of the website that you want to scan.
- Click Next.
- Select No to scan the entered website only.
Note: If you want to scan additional websites (subdomains) under your entered website, see the section below: Adding Multiple Websites for Accessibility Scans. - Click Next.
- Enter the entry point URL(s) in the Entry Point field and click Add.
Note: The entry point URL is the starting page of your website where the scan will begin. If errors appear when adding the entry point URLs, learn more about potential errors. - Click Next.
- (Optional) Enter any website URLs you want to exclude from the scan and click Add.
Note: If errors appear when adding excluded web pages, learn more about potential errors. - Click Next.
- (Optional) Select your desired Scan Depth and Scan Frequency for the website.
- If your website requires authentication through a login page, enable Credential Settings, and then enter the necessary credentials to allow EqualGround to access your website for scanning.
- Click Next.
- After reviewing your entry point and excluded URLs, click Start Scan to start your first website scan.
Adding Multiple Websites for Accessibility Scans
- Log in to the EqualGround platform.
- Hover to the side Navbar and select Websites.
- Click Add Website.
- Select Enter Website URL to add a URL of the website that you want to scan.
- Click Next.
- Select Yes and click Next to view a list of additional websites (subdomain) under your entered website (domain). You will then be able to select specific websites for accessibility scans.
- Select the websites that you want to scan and click Next.
- Select Same Configuration to apply the same scan settings to all selected websites and initiate scanning, or select Different Configurations to configure each website’s scan settings individually after adding them to EqualGround.
- (Optional) If Same Configuration is selected, select your desired Scan Depth and Scan Frequency for the website.
- Click Next.
- After reviewing your selected website, click Start Scan to initiate your first website scan.
Note: If you selected Different Configurations for your websites, click Done. Then click Go to Websites to configure each website's scan settings before initiating the first scan.
Bulk Uploading Websites for Accessibility Scans
You can upload a CSV file to EqualGround to add multiple websites at once for accessibility scanning.
- Log in to the EqualGround platform.
- Hover to the side Navbar and select Websites.
- Click Add Website.
- Select Upload CSV File.
- Upload a CSV file that contains the websites you want to scan in the Choose File To Upload field.
Note: You can download a sample CSV file to fill in the required information. - Click Next.
- Review your uploaded websites and their information.
Note: If an error appears in the upload status, it may indicate that your website cannot be scanned. Learn more about potential errors. - Click Start Scan to initiate your first website scan.
