Creators can add a list of questions to a CSV file, that can then be uploaded to the engage platform to create polls. Please ensure you follow the appropriate section for generating a CSV file for your poll. Once you have created a file, you can upload it to the Engage platform.
Creating a CSV File for Polls
Download the sample CSV file here, and then open it in any CSV file editor such as Google Sheets. The table below outlines how to set up your CSV file. Your CSV file will need to contain the following header columns: Question Type, Question Title, Options, Answer, and Blank Pair.

A matching pair consists of a premise and a response separated by a colon. Separate each matching pair by a comma. You can add a distractor by entering a word after a comma. Example: France:Paris, Italy:Rome, Toronto

Uploading Your CSV File
Once you've created your CSV file, you can upload it to the Engage Platform.
- Log in to the Engage platform as a creator and select Create from the left-side navigation menu.
- Select Poll.
- Click Import Questions.
- Drag and drop your CSV file into the space provided or click Choose File to select it.
- Click Next.
- You'll be presented with a list of questions that will be imported. Click Import. You can then make any edits before releasing your poll or survey. Note: If some questions cannot be imported, please check the formatting of your CSV file.
