A deeply nested heading structure (e.g. 8 levels of headings) indicates a lack of focus. The heading structure should be well organized to allow users to easily seek the information required from the document.
Resolving the document's Heading Structure Goes Beyond Six Levels
- In the Accessibility Report for the PDF document, click Launch in the Structural Remediation Max widget.
- Locate the element that is beyond 6 heading levels, and click the More Actions icon.
- Select Edit.
- Select a new heading level between Heading 1 and Heading 6 in the Type field.
- Click Update.
- Click Save Changes.
