A deeply nested heading structure (e.g. 8 levels of headings) indicates a lack of focus. The heading structure should be well-organized to allow users to easily seek the information required from the document.
Editing Heading Levels
- In the Accessibility Report for the PDF document, locate the Structural Remediation banner and click Launch.
- Locate the element that is beyond 6 heading levels, and click the More Actions button.
- Select Edit.
- In the Element Type drop-down field, select a new heading level between Heading 1 and Heading 6.
- Click Back.
- Click the Save changes button.
