You can access your Learning Management System (LMS) within the Verity Lockdown Mobile app to take proctored assessments. We will be using Canvas as an example LMS. Before accessing your proctored assessment in your mobile devices, make sure you have downloaded the Verity Lockdown App in your iOS device.
Accessing a Proctored Assessment Through the YuJa Verity Lockdown App on iOS with Guided Access
Before you begin, ensure that you have enabled Guided Access and Accessibility Shortcuts on your iOS device. For more information, refer to this Apple support guide.
- Log in to your LMS through a supported browser, and tap the Verity link located within your course.
Note: If you cannot find the Verity LTI link, please reach out to your instructor. -
Within the Assessment Hub, locate the guided access quiz made by your instructor and tap Start.
Note: Tap Reattempt instead if you are retaking a proctored assessment. -
Tap Open to confirm opening the Verity Lockdown App.

Within your Verity Mobile Lockdown App, you will be redirected to your quiz taking page. Tap Take the Quiz or other assessment starting buttons to start your assessment.

You will then be required to complete the Proctoring Readiness Check to ensure your device meets all requirements for your assessment.
- Before you begin the Proctoring Readiness Check, press your power button three times quickly. If you are taking the assessment on an iOS device with a home button, press the home button three times quickly.

Enter your Guided Access password. In the top right corner, tap Start to begin your Guided Access session. Note: If you have not set up a password before, your device will prompt you to set one.
- With Guided Access on, proceed with your Proctoring Readiness Check.

Optional: If you have several Accessibility Shortcuts enabled, you will need to select Guided Access from your Accessibility Shortcuts menu as shown below.
- To check that Guided Access is properly enabled, you will be able to pass the Apply Limits step and complete your Proctoring Readiness Check.

Tap Complete Setup to start your assessment.
- When you are finished your assessment, press your power button three times quickly once again. You will be prompted to enter your Guided Access passcode.
- In the top left corner, tap on End to finish your Guided Access session. After completing all checks, tap Complete Setup to start your assessment.
