Integrating the Video Platform into eMedley

This document provides instructions on integrating the Video Platform into your eMedley LMS. If you have questions regarding any steps in this process, please contact your dedicated Client Success Manager.

Adding the Video Platform as a Tool on eMedley

The instructions below will guide you through the process of integrating the Video Platform as a tool on eMedley. This will enable you to acquire the necessary registration information for the integration.

  1. Log in to your eMedley account as an admin.
  2. Click DIDACTIC and then select External Tools.

  3. Click Add Tool and then select From Manual Configuration.
    From Manual configuration is highlighted after selecting Add tool.
  4. Enter the following information:
    • Tool Name: YuJa Media
    • Description: YuJa is an Enterprise Video Platform. 
    • Placements: Check all placements.
    • Target Link URL: https://<YOUR_YUJA_DOMAIN>/LTI3Entry.jsp
    • Login Initiation URL: https://<YOUR_YUJA_DOMAIN>/LTI3LoginInit.jsp
    • Domain: <YOUR_YUJA_DOMAIN>
    • Redirect URIs: https://<YOUR_YUJA_DOMAIN>/LTI3Entry.jsp
    • Public JWK URL: https://<YOUR_YUJA_DOMAIN>/P/Data/LTI3JwksJSONS
    • Resource Request Target Link URI for DeepLinking: https://<YOUR_YUJA_DOMAIN>/LTI3Entry.jsp?single_embed=true
  5. Click Add.
    The information for the tool is filled, and the add button is highlighted.
  6. Select the newly created YuJa tool and then click Registration Info. Note down the information displayed, and then proceed to the next section of this guide. 
    The tool is selected and the Registration Infor button is highlighted.

Integrating the Video Platform With eMedley

Once you've noted the registration information, you will be able to integrate the Video Platform with eMedley. 

  1. Log in to your Video Platform account as an admin.
  2. Click the Main Menu icon on the top-right of your screen, and then select the Admin Panel.
  3. Select the Integrations tab from the left-side menu. 
    The integrations tab is shown selected from the Admin Panel.
  4. Under Select Integration, choose LMS via LTI 1.3.
  5. Under Choose a LMS, select Others.
    LMS LTI 1.3 is selected for the integration and Others is selected for the LMS.
  6. In the API Configuration panel, enter the information based on the Registration Info noted in the previous section.
    • ISS: https://he.emedley.com
    • Client ID: The Client ID 
    • OIDC Endpoint: The Login Initiation URL 
    • JWKS Endpoint: The Public Key URL 
    • OAuth2 Token Endpoint: the Access Token URL
    • Deployment ID: The Deployment ID
  7. Click Add Configuration and then click Save located at the top of the page.
    The information for the API configuration is entered and the add configuration button is highlighted.

Adding the Video Platform Tool to a Course

After you complete the integration process, you can add the Video Platform to your desired courses. 

  1. Log in to your eMedley account as an admin.
  2. Click on DIDACTIC and then select eduCATE LMS.
    educate LMS is highlighted from the DIDACTIC menu.
  3. Select a course, then click the Manage tab.
  4. Click External Tools.
    The manage tool is selected and the External Tools option is highlighted.
  5. Click Add Tool.
  6. Select YuJa Media and then click Done to add it to the course.
    The add button is selected and YuJa Video and the Done button are highlighted.
