The attendance activity confirms participants' physical presence by verifying their location. The results can then be viewed and synced with the LMS gradebook.
Creating an Attendance
- Log in to Engage, and from the navigation bar, click Create and then select Attendance.
- Enter a title and question for the attendance.
- Provide the correct answer.
- You can then enable the following optional settings:
- Sync results to LMS: If checked and the attendance is embedded in the LMS, results will be synced to the LMS gradebook.

Create a geofence: If checked, you can select a location on the map and enter the radius for your geofence. Participants will be required to be inside the geofence to be marked as present.
Note: You can create a predefined geofence list to save your frequently used locations.
- Once you've adjusted your settings, click Save & Close. You can then release the attendance when desired.
