Downloading and Using the Engage App for Participants

The Engage app for iOS and Android allows participants to participate in activities by either logging in or joining as a guest. 

Downloading the Engage App

You can download the Engage app for iOS and Android. 

Logging in to the Engage App

Once you have downloaded the app, you can log in using your Engage or SSO credentials. 

  1. Launch the Engage app and select SIGN IN.
    The Welcome to Engage Page shows a button to Sign In.
  2. Enter the name of the institution that is hosting the activity. This may be the name of your college, a business, or a government institution. 
  3. Select Next.
    An institution's name is entered into a text field and a next button is shown.
  4. Enter your Username and Password. Optional: You can use the drop-down menu at the top to sign in with your institution's SSO credentials, if applicable. 
  5. Select LOG IN.
    A username and password are entered and the Logi In button is shown highlighted.

Overview of the Engage App

Once you've signed in to the app, you'll have access to the features on the following tabs:

  1. Home: Provides an overview of your Engage platform with a list of active polls, access to join a poll and enrolled courses.
    • Active Polls: If your institution has integrated Engage with their Learning Management System (LMS)—Blackboard, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, or Moodle—and SSO, you can view LMS-embedded activities that are currently in progress. 
    • Join Poll: Enter a poll code to begin participating in a poll.
    • Enrolled Courses: Courses on the Engage platform that you are enrolled in.
  2. Join Poll: Provides options to enter an activity code or scan a QR code to enter a poll. 
  3. Polls: View past activities you've participated in.  

The home page for the app shows active polls, options to enter a poll code, and enrolled courses.
